am the co-creator and owner of this site. My talented daughter Amanda created this new website for me using CSS and Dreamweaver. I did some fine tuning of text and graphics until such time I have sufficient understanding to make sweeping changes. My original website was also created using Dreamweaver, but I did it myself using tables as the foundation, which worked well. I'm gradually learning the nuts and bolts of CSS. We'll see where it takes me!
I am a ten year veteran school bus driver in the greater Seattle, Washington area. I love this job! This year I have the pleasure of driving a 2009 All American Bluebird, 40' transit style bus. I transport all ages, a high school, a middle school and two elementary schools, not all at the same time, thankfully! And during the midday, little preschoolers. As a wife nearly 26 years to a wonderful, loving husband, I am blessed with a lovely daughter and handsome son and a lovely married step daughter and her handsome husband who have my energetic and very cute grand-daughter and grand-son.
ealing Hearts Ministries International has been my passion in ministry for 22 years. I have been blessed to serve my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, by helping other women who have experienced the pain, shame and guilt after choosing to have an abortion; A choice our society wants us to believe is safe, easy and without lingering problems. It is none of these. 
It is not nearly as safe as touted, it is not easy at all, for the decision is filled with anguish and pain, and the procedure is painful and wrenching, and lastly, it is not without lingering problems. Many women find themselves unable to move beyond what they have done. Four out of ten women of child bearing age, in the United States of America, will have at least one abortion in their lifetime, three out of ten Christian women will do likewise. Many women profoundly regret their decision and actions. As a backslidden Christian, I found myself in that position almost 27 years ago at the age of 32.
I felt myself foundering and desperately wanted to know how to resolve my feelings of anguish and guilt. As I listened to a local Christian radio station at work, one afternoon in 1986, I heard a woman (at the time I didn't know she was the Executive Director of Healing Hearts Ministries International) speaking about the very thing that was shattering my heart and life, my abortion in 1983. A phone number was given for phone counseling, I called right away and the woman I spoke with was compassionate and offered me hope. Even though I knew in my my mind that Jesus Christ had forgiven me my sin, my heart still condemned me. Then, in 1988, still suffering with lingering, painful thoughts and memories, I called Healing Hearts Ministries again only to find that the ministry was offering a post-abortion Bible study, I leapt at the chance and attended one of the very first study groups the ministry formed. After completing the life changing study of the Word of God, I was trained and became a lay counselor/Bible study leader, something I have enjoyed doing these many years. Now, I also mentor 14 godly women who are leaders in Healing Hearts and who live in the S.E. U.S.A and disciple a handful of women who want to become trained lay leaders in Healing Hearts. It is still my passion to share the hope, love, forgiveness and healing of the Lord Jesus Christ to hurting women the Lord brings into my life.
