Here,
today on Seattle’s First Avenue,
near the famous Pike Place Market, a well-dressed woman
braces herself against the wind and cold rain
falling steadily with an umbrella,
uh no,
with an 8 1/2×11 inch folio.
It doesn’t do much to protect her,
but she must feel it is doing some good,
or she would drop the pretense.
