Just a little closer, yes, that’s it, the perfect shot! Here in the Skagit Valley, a 60 mile drive north of Seattle, you arrive in tulip paradise! This year the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival runs from April 1 to April 30. Due to my Spring Break trip to the Palouse in south eastern Washington, I’ll not be able to photograph this years bloom until the weekend of the 21st. This shot of a photographer getting up close and personal with some red tulips was taken year before last, but know that this years bloom will be just as spectacular!
Thanks for joining me today, for the view that is right here! ~ Madge

Beautiful !! so Dutch !!…love from Holland happy easter days….xxx…
A friend from work who lives in Seattle told me I should visit Skagit Valley with my camera… looks wonderful!! My “Dutch Girl” wife would enjoy it as well.
Oh I love to do that, catch another photographer at work, well done Madge.. such a spectacular scene too, sooooo many tulips.
Simply wonderful !!!
I might head over to the tulip fields next week. I was reading on their website that some kind of signed pas is required to walk in the fields and photograph. Maybe it is just for photos intended for publication? What do you know about that? I always enjoy your photo of the Skagit Tulip Festival.
