Climbing rung by rung, a stairway to heaven rises out of a construction site. Not really, but early one morning recently while I was in the South Lake Union neighborhood of downtown Seattle, I heard someone shout. Turning around I saw a worker dressed in jeans, hard hat and an orange vest enter and descend into the below ground level area of what will be a new University of Washington Medical Center building. I stood watching, wondering where he might reappear. Several minutes later, I saw him begin ascending the ladder of tall construction crane. Rung by rung, round by round, level by level he slowly made his way to the crane cab high above street level. All in a days work…
Sweet catch Madge!
Nice shot Madge. Its really amazing how big those cranes can be.
