What once was Qwest Field is now CenturyLink Field, home of Seattle Seahawks Football (AFC) and the Seattle Sounders FC. Here on a warm summer morning, dawn bursts across the field and the surrounding buildings in Pioneer Square, the Viaduct and Seattle waterfront. A week or so ago, I caught CenturyLink Field from above Interstate 90 at night, what a glowing view that was! Several days ago, on August 11th, our first preseason game was played in San Diego against the Chargers in Qualcomm Stadium and the Seahawks won, 24-17. Our second preseason game is on Saturday, August 20 at 19:00, we will play the Minnesota Vikings at CenturyLink Field. GO Seahawks! How did your team’s first preseason game go?
You can’t go wrong with a shot of Ranier! Seahawks are going to miss Hasselbeck I think.
He’s had a rough couple seasons physically… but he is missed already as a player and a man of good character who added a lot to our community.
I think you captured another postcard photograph!
Thanks Dennis… it’s hard NOT to take a good shot of Mount Rainier!
Nice crystal clear day in Seattle and a nice capture, Madge.
Thanks Bruce, these bright summer mornings really make up for all the gray days we endure the rest of the year long!
Wonderful shot. Not a baseball fan, I dont follow our team here, the Vancouver Canadians. More of a hockey and soccer fan! Always a fan of great photography though!
Thanks Susan… I’m not a fan of many sports either… but I do like football!
This is surely a dramatic backdrop.
47-12 Pats!
Yes, Mount Rainier is always a dramatic background for a shot… of well just about anything!
I’ve always heard that Seattle was beautiful. Now I know that Seattle is beautiful. Mt Rainier is gorgeous.
It is a beautiful place, when the sun shines, I’ve hardly been anywhere prettier… but we have a lot of gray dismal overcast days 226 average yearly… we have the seventh least sunny days of all cities in the US.
