Qwest is becoming CenturyLink…That’s what we’ve heard for weeks on TV prior to the finalization of the change over from one telephone company to the other. The name of the Seattle Seahawks Football and Seattle Sounders FC stadium changed about two weeks ago from Qwest Field to CenturyLink Field.  It is a little difficult to read the new name on the roof of the stadium, because of the lighting in this night shot.  The stadium is lovely viewed in the early morning from Victor Steinbrueck Park with majestic Mount Rainier framed between the roof struts. Qwest service trucks were some of the first equipment to have transitioned to the new name, but I spotted a company facility on 4th Avenue South in SODO that still bears the old name, Qwest.

Then, while turning around in their parking lot, I noticed this 12th Man Flag hanging in the warehouse doorway.  GO Seahawks!   What football team do you root for?

    1. Thanks Bruce… I had a difficult time standing on the bridge over Interstate 90 where it begins it’s 3,099 mile span to Boston MA, that where the headlights are heading, east. I have a fear of heights… but the photographer in me over-road the fraidy-cat!

    1. I’ve yet to attend a game (or tour for that matter) in Century Link Field… my husband and I attended quite a few games at the Kingdome. I sent you an email explaining the location of this photo shoot location…

Hi, Madge. We came across your picture and just wanted to say “wow!” Not everyone gets to see this stadium at night, but you captured the beauty of CenturyLink Field very well!
