Recently,
my daughter and I
took an all day driving trip
up to the high country near Mount Adams.
At Takhlakh Lake,
there was a fisherman
trying to retrieve his lost lure and hook
in the shallow water near the shore.
His red canoe, paddle and shirt
were the perfect subject in contrast against
the clear waters of the alpine lake.
You can just see the shoulder of Mount Adams in the image.
It was cold, in the 30s,
but a bright and beautiful day
at near 5,000 feet
in the foothills
of the Cascade
Mountains.

Lovely shot, the water looks so very clear and clean. You can’t go wrong with a patch of red, can you?
No, one can’t go wrong with a bit of red to make a subject pop. Thanks for stopping by.
That makes a beautiful picture. Hope you are doing well and staying healthy.
Yes, we are well, hope you are doing well too. I couldn’t pass up his bright pop of red, could I?
Madge, I love your photography! I still have the beautiful, calligraphied bookmark you made me when I lived in Seattle so it doesn’t surprise me that your talent extends to the camera. You go, girl! I have enjoyed traveling the PNW through you photos.
Thank you so very much Kathy! What a delight to hear from you!
Hi Madge, it’s been quite awhile since I have stepped into your blog. I am glad I found you again.
