Vast fields of growing wheat are a taste treat for deer.
: : :
Here,
mid-morning on a spring day,
a doe invites herself to a healthy
and bountiful feast in a Palouse wheat field.
: : :
I’m not sure how much deer can eat,
but I’m sure over the course of a season, between
the trampling and eating
they could be a problem.
Albeit,
a cute one.
: : :
She has a notch out of her right ear,
do you suppose that’s a marking by the Washington Department of Fish and Game?
If not, I wonder what happened to it.
: : :
My, what big ears your have. A cutie.
A fine shot of this deer helping herself to the wheat. They are so cute!
Nice capture! I do hope though that the notch isn’t something done by a human that is just cruel.
Have a great week!
Deer are notorious for nibbling on gardens here in East Texas. Some people even put up low-voltage electric fences to keep them out of their vegetable and rose gardens. It’s the only answer I suppose. It’s just enough juice to make them scurry away!
Marvelous capture.
A super cute shot. They are like our wallabies cute but eat the garden.
I realize deer are a problen in some areas, but they really are beautiful. Love this shot.
very sweet.
