Halfsies, (half-seez), noun: The condition of splitting something in half in order to share it.

Here,
during the summer while out and about,
coming down a very steep hill in downtown Seattle on Yesler Way,
I caught a shot of the Zim Los Angeles coming into the Port of Seattle’s
Terminal 18 on Harbor Island.
: : :
I thought this a funny capture,
the ship appears to be cut in half by the Frye Apartment building
at 3rd Avenue and Yesler Way.

The Zim Los Angeles,
built in 2009 is owned by ZIM Integrated Shipping Services.
She is 1095 feet long (think three football fields)
with a beam of 141 feet (think half a football field),
with a TEU (twenty foot equivalent units) capacity of 8,900
that means if she carried only twenty foot long containers
and was at full capacity,
she would carry 8,900 containers.
THAT
is a lot
of cargo!
