Brightly lit neon shines out into the early morning light, beckoning hungry patrons to come in.

Here,
very early one morning late last fall,
I found myself driving through the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle
and saw the new neon sign for the Square Knot Diner had been installed
on the red brick facade of a more than century old building along Airport Way South.
: : :
My husband and I ate a wonderful meal at the Square Knot Diner about a week after they opened their doors early last fall.
Serving classic diner food at counter stools or booths, it is a cheery place with a black and white tiled floor

Those of you who have been visiting here often or for very long,
know of my penchant for photographing neon signs.
I do like this one, although new, it has a
nice retro feel.

Sorry, I’m sure many have already come by, that

Good! I’m sure you could use the sleep! Like the sign. Thank you for hosting.
It does have a retro feel, Madge. I hope you are doing well. Thanks for hosting!
I always love your neon sign shots. As usual this one has great color and composition. Get your rest Madge.
Fabulous photo – love that sign. Sounds like a fun place to eat too.
Your lie in suits me just fine, I made it near the top for a change! Love your neon signs. One day I’d like to try a meal in a dinner, nothing remotely like it in Cornwall England!
Neon just makes me smile!
Great sign – so colourful.
Hope you are resting x
I’m right there with you on the neon, but there isn’t much of it to be had around here. I love the colors.
this is a great one!
Interesting that the “R” is not lit (due to it being new.) Great shot!
Love this photo! I too have a thing for neon signs. You found a good one!
great photo Madge, I hope you are feeling a bit better every day!
Oh my… another beautiful neon shot… just beautiful!
Classic neon diner sign–great light reflections on the brick wall! :)
Another great night shot!
I like how colorful it is.
I do love neon signs, as long as all the letters are lit up! Once again your shots are breathtaking! Thanks for hosting. Chel x

Great night time shot ~ wonderful jazzy colors ~ Happy Sunday ^_^
I do like neon signs and this one is calling me, I can feel it.
betsy
I also love neon signs. Plan on decorating my kitchen with some from Route 66.
The new diner sign makes a fine street shot. A very appealing sign.
Madge,
Good diner type places are so fun to find. Black and White tiled floors add character. I really like the name Square Knot Diner. Do you know how they came up with it?
Very cool looking sign!
Love neon signs and diner food!
That sign has certainly enhanced those bricks – as has your editing. Great pic!
Fantastic sign and colors! Glad you are resting.
