A lot can be told in a few short words, here are three, Spoiled Dog Ranch.
: : :
Somewhere along a long, lonely stretch of dirt road,
on a high ridge over looking the Blue Mountains to the south,
and heading toward what once was the pioneer
community of Peola, is ‘Spoiled Dog Ranch.’
: : :
Some of the clever, creative and artistic things people do
make me chuckle or amaze me at their skill.
Here quite a few miles from the town of Asotin (the county seat of Asotin County),
the county in the southeastern corner of Washington State,
I found myself chuckling at the clever ranch name displayed proudly on their mailbox.
I have only one question,
What does the spoiled dog looks like?
Woof!

Wonderful name. It ,ade me smile. ;)
Love that name!
That is quite clever! The most clever name of a farm around here is “Daily Crisis Farm.” It cracks me up every time I drive by. I can only imagine what goes on there! Thanks for hosting!
How great! It does make you wonder what the spoiled dog looks like! I have three spoiled dogs myself. Isn’t Peola the area in which the book “The Orchardist” was set in? That was a great book if you haven’t read it. Thanks for hosting, Madge!
I got a chuckle out of this too, Madge! You captured some great colors in this photo!
Happy First Day of Spring!
So cute! We have several old mailboxes I’ve been wanting to transform into yard art — maybe this is the year. :)
i like the handwritten ‘signage’ i am a big fan of ‘less is more’
I love the names of houses and ranches – this is one of the best.
I love the name! I wish I had a spoiled dog – and a ranch to name after it – sigh. I wonder what kind of dog they have.
I had to laugh–we have a couple of those on our place! I tried to comment on the New Jersey photo but her comment verification would not let me–kept saying I wasn’t typing the word exactly :/ I hope people will remove that verification thingy and use moderation instead. It’s so much easier for us to comment! Thank you again, Madge, for hosting. This is a great blog hop.
Ha!!! Had to chuckle on that one!!!
Neat shot and I can relate ~ ‘a spoiled dog lives here’ ~ Enjoy ^_^
Haha! I love this!
i love that – and can totally relate…
How funny! I wonder if perhaps she’s talking about her hubby??
Haha…FANTASTIC find!
I too like finding the most unexpected in the middle of nowhere. I often think too that they do it even if the chances aren’t very high that someone will see it.
Love your framing – a lovely shot!
Hi!
Lovely name
have a nice evening

That is too funny! I can relate to having a spoiled dog.
Oh, that’s funny! We have some interesting named farms around here.
What beautiful country!
I would LOVE to see what this dog looks like and then just sit and chat, getting more tips on how to spoil my tow even MORE!…:)JP
Love it!
That could be the name of this place, right here. We don’t have the ranch…but, we DO have the spoiled dog.
Funny. Great sky in the background too.
Ha – Love it!

Mail boxes are so rare these days — and I love seeing them along the road way.. great shot!!
I stumbled across your blog today and love this idea! I will definitely be creating my own post to add to these wonderful collections! I love alot about my simple life in a semi-rural (it looks like it but there are quite a few people here) little part of the world.
I would have to say spoiled dogs, donkeys, horses and chickens ranch. I love the colors in this photo.
Dear Madge, is it possible that you are able to test my new channel as the old one was the one y ou couldn’t comment – I do hope it will be ok on this one.. I see I have had some visitors but only one have made a comment – There might be some problems again???.. *deep deep sigh*
My mind went in the same direct…what does this dog look like? A poodle perhaps?
I know what the spoiled dog looks like…it looks like MY dog! LOL!!
Creative and probably accurate.
I received your e-mail concerning your health and rehabilitation – it was generous of you to share that personal information, but know that it is enough that you host memes, and even more that you continue to inspire through your photography. Heal first, visit with us in cyber space later.
Haha. Love it. Nice find!
Take care, Madge. You are a busy girl with work, hosting, and health. Health comes first. We’ll be here. Thank you for being a great hostess (with the mostess . . . I couldn’t help myself). :)
What a great name!
