Small, red and useful.
Here a very small, red Barn sits in an overgrown field but is still useful to the farmstead it belongs to. Isn’t it interesting how different barns are, color, shape and size? Money, time and purpose must have a great deal to do with what the finished building looks like.
Tomorrow on Tuesday, December 18th I’ll be observing a day of blogging silence in support and remembrance of the tragic loss of life in Newtown, CT and Clackamas, OR.

It looks like what we might call a corn crib in this area.
precious little place.
Old, but charming! Great shot!

Lovely shot!
this could be the ‘cutest’ barn ever…. so beautiful
i must post my Ohio barns … they don’t compare to your’s but still they are pretty
This puts me to mind of many of the barns located around here. Nicely captured and appreciated.
It certainly is a cute little barn! :)
Looks like your farmers are a bit like our own – “if it works don’t fix it” or “why spend good money on something new when the old one works just fine”.
These simple, worn barns with weathered paint always grab us, don’t they? I can’t articulate what it is about them that captures our imaginations.
I like this photo very much because the subject is the barn.
What a pretty little red barn!
This little barn has a lot of character! Love it’s faded red charm. xx
Cute little red barn- the roof needs a bit of work-looks like that sheet metal would blow off in a good wind.
Love the red. Such a happy color. You captured this little treasure very well.
I like the clever caption!
I meant to say “I like the clever blogpost title.”
This is sweet! Alas, there are no barns in my immediate area to photograph…just lots of telephone poles, electric wires, and cell phone towers…so I really appreciate it when the barn photos get posted. Peace and hugs to you on this ‘quiet’ day.
I think this barn wins the cutie patootie award this week.
The thought of those little angels hurts my heart.
Its a cute little barn, Madge.
Cute little barn – and beautifully captured!
