Merry Christmas - Christmas Ornament at Snoqualmie Pass

‘…Christmas in the Northwest is a gift God wrapped in green.’
Christmas in the Northwest, always a gift of God, and again this year it will be wrapped in green here at our home near Puget Sound. To satisfy our craving for snow, my husband and I drove to the summit of Snoqualmie Pass today, to play with Lucy our dog in the snow and allow me a few minutes to take a few photos. The cold, elevation and my asthma made walking a chore, but it was gorgeous! I took an ornament with me, just in case I found the perfect spot for a wintry scene. Thankfully, we found just the place with the sun peeping through the clouds for a few minutes to provide the brightly lit hills behind the snowy alpine trees.

‘Christmas in the Northwest,’ by Brenda White is a favorite Christmas song of mine. If you have time, click the ‘play’ button on the player and listen to a beautiful song for a couple minutes, I think you’ll be blessed. [Disclosure: The MP3 shared with you was purchased.]

Hoping you and yours have a wonderful day together to celebrate the meaning of Christmas ~ faith, family and friends.

I thought it might be fun to open a two day only Christmas meme, if you have the time and would like to share, I’d enjoy seeing your seasonal cheer!

  2. Oh Madge! Cold air is tough for asthma! What a beautiful photo, though. I’m sure you know that Snoqualmie was not so peaceful today; two great-nieces were driving back from Tacoma to NE Oregon and got through just before the pass was closed to all vehicles without chains. I hope you are getting healthier!

  3. Wow, are you clever!…bringing that ornament with you. That is something I would have totally forgot let alone thought of. I would have been consumed with thinking of what camera equpment to take. When the tree comes down this year, I will keep one ornament (maybe a few more…LOL) out just to be prepared when it does snow. What a beautiful shot and beautiful song! Thank you!
