As a new morning breaks across the Cascade Mountains, it bathes the frosty farm in the warm light of early day. This small farm sits not a half mile from the tide flats of Samish Bay on Puget Sound, the air fresh with the smell of salt and damp dewiness, awaiting the farmers hand to begin the day’s work.
I recall a line from the Anne of Green Gables series, ‘Isn’t it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet?’ That’s how I’m feeling about today, no mistakes in it.. yet. Yesterday, I awoke, made coffee and settled in on the sofa for a couple hours to post a new entry to my blog and then visit all the entries from the weekend on Weekly Top Shot #56 and have time to stop by my blog friends scattered around the country and globe. That was not to be, I’d hardly gotten a post up when my site began experiencing technical difficulties, which snowballed into a long string of broken plugins, widgets and photos. Seven hours, four restores and many, many phone calls with my server, the problem was finally resolved. In the end it appears that one plugin went haywire and caused the whole snafu. The only thing lost permanently were my blog stats from the last three years, sigh.

a beautiful find, madge.
Great barn shot, the fall colours make the picture.
I seem to recall other occassions where your server let you down – aren’t computers fun?
Which plug-in caused all that trouble? I wanna steer clear of it!
Great looking barn & view =)
An older version of ‘Count Per Day.’ After all was said and done, I uploaded the newer version and everything seems fine, so far… :-)
Ok, good to know… glad it’s working out, now! =)
There is always tomorrow! And that is a beautiful backdrop to a beautiful barn! Keep the faith!
Gee! If something happens to my blog, I’ll probably have a heart attack…I have no idea where to start to solve a problem like that! No backup, either. I do love this wonderful old red barn in its beautiful setting.
Lovely photo! Hope the computer mishaps leave you alone now. : )
Lovely capture, Madge!
Lovely shot!
Love the barn and the setting too! Sorry about all the computer trouble. :(
Beautiful, Madge!
Beautiful image, Madge! I hope you don’t have any more computer problems.
Sorry to hear about your computer ails. I hate when that happens! Your shot sure turned out well though. I know that area pretty well; I’ll have to look for this barn the next time I’m up.
It’s a beautiful barn. Sorry to hear about the computer troubles. I hate days like that.
That is a lovely scene.
I continue to be in awe of the wonderful scenery that is available, just waiting for you to come along and take a picture for many people to view. I hope that you are going to publish a barn book some day.
oh no, not a fun way to start the day…glad you got it all worked out in the end…beautiful barn!
A lovely rural scene!
Glad you got the computer glitches fixed!
Beautiful barn and I think I see the sunrise reflected in one of the windows?
You do manage to find the most beautiful red barns, Madge!
Gorgeous barn shot!! Computers are wonderful when they work correctly, but I’ve had days that were similar to what you experienced. Very frustrating, but glad you finally got it figured out.
Beautiful photos on your blog. So so pretty!
Really lovely sight.
