Big, blue and delicious, Hubbard Squash for sale at a produce stand near Snohomish, WA. Here, wet with rain, squashes wait in a farm bin for a customer to pick them out and take them home. Squash, a food people seem to love or hate. In my estimation squash, especially winter squash is simply delicious. Cut, cleaned and baked, then served with a little butter and honey, sorghum or brown sugar, well, it doesn’t get much better than that. What about you, love it or hate it?

We are buttercup squash eaters around here.
This is a great shot, especially with the rain drops still on the squash!
i like the brown ‘scarring’ on the one in the upper corner. i like it but only occasionally. and never cook it myself.
A fine close up of these squash. I like the light color of them which you’ve captured so well. I suppose these are baked but I can’t remember that for sure…or how they taste. :-)
Gorgeous photo! Love the water droplets. I don’t like all types of squash, but I do adore butternut squash. I use it often!
great shot, i love squash and pumpkin but i have never seen a Hubbard before .. thanks!
These are wonderful. Wish I could find ones here, they are all orange and green.
Love the simple color and composition. Really nice! Hope you are enjoying the rains :)
One of the vendors at our Farmers’ Market has Blue Hubbard squash but I haven’t tried it yet. I love winter squash, especially roasted! :)
I love squash. I’ve never seen these kind before. Cool! A little butter, salt and pepper and we’re good to go. :)

Beautiful photo! I haen’t had squash in such a long time, I can’t recall the taste. However, the way you describe it is making my mouth water!
The rain drops on this beautiful squash made this photo very nice.
