Wet pine needles have fallen creating a soft, sound dampening carpet underfoot. Looking down is often a profitable exercise. You find things, such as money on the pavement, tools along the shoulder of the road, and rich photographic opportunities. Here, a simple glance at the ground brought me a perfect view of rain wet pine needles which when viewed closeup are almost abstract art.
Before the Seahawks game with the New England Patriots at one o’clock, I’ve got several errands and chores. I’ve got to make a quick trip to the pet store to get kitten milk replacement for the little kitty we adopted two weeks ago, she is now seven weeks old. She’s a half Siamese and alley cat mix, with the typical blue eyes and coloring with the added benefit of a few white spots and subtle stripes thrown in for good measure. And I promised a good friend/co-worker to hem three pairs Levis. Oh and yes, I finally succumbed to the cold virus I’ve been fighting this past week…

Nice surprises when we look down. Thanks for sharing you’re busy Sunday with us.
Very nice picture, beautiful colors. Experience the fall. Greetings.
Love how such a simple subject matter can be so beautiful when multiplied.
True but they are a pain to rake.
Sounds like you are a busy gal! I love it that you adopted a kitty. Looking forward to photos of the wee one growing up!

It is amazing what we can see when we just look down at the ground. Beautiful tones of orange and a great criss-cross pattern. Thank you for sharing it on Mandarin Orange Monday:)
You always see the art in the everyday, Madge! I have a Siamese cross, my 2nd one and they are wonderful companions. Hope your cold doesn’t get any worse. xx
Natures spaghetti!
Reminds me of pick-up-sticks! :)

As someone who spends a lot of time in the woods, I know how quiet pine needles are to walk on. This is a cool shot! It’s like a photo puzzle.
