A small flock of sheep grazing in a pasture. Here in the Palouse, the premier wheat growing region of southeast Washington state, a small herd of sheep peacefully graze in a pasture away from the red barn on this farmstead.
I’m really a country girl stuck in the city. Rural life and activities were my life growing up and I miss them. Being out in rural areas is a delight for me, the sights staying with me long after I leave. This place looked so serene to me, I took a few images and then sat for a bit enjoying the scene in front of me.

The barnyard scene is a beautiful one. I can see why you stayed there after shooting this fine image. Grest looking barn too.
Well I’m a small town boy, neither rural nor citified, but I certainly do like all these rural images from the Palouse you keep posting for us to enjoy!
really like this barn! and the sheep are a bonus!
I like how this barn is tucked into the steep hillside. Like a secret little hide-away. xx
That’s a greeting-card/postcard shot if I ever saw one. Sooooo peaceful! I’ve never lived in the country but could well-imagine myself out there.
That’s a nice shot. I agree it would make a nice postcard.
