Gray, strong and useful. These steel storage bins dot farms across eastern Washington. Here in the Palouse, these bins created a strong, pleasing repeating composition of texture, color and form.
Busy, busy, busy, it is the sixth day of school, days are still hot and long. Hopefully I’ll be back to posting normal length posts soon…

I Like it!!
i like it too and it reminds me of the water towers i see spotting rooftops all over NYC
I love this shot and the repetition…did you have to stand on a roof top to get it? The level at which you shot it really enhances the repetition aspect.
Hmmm, I think I was on a hill… eye level more of less…
sometimes i just have nothing more to say than the location of my picture lol….nice shot of these bins
Well, this is an awesome photo from a great viewpoint… where the heck were you, up on a cherry picker??
You couldn’t get me in a cherry-picker!!!
lovely shot – were you up high to get this angle?
Love it! Were you happy to see the students again?
Yes… I always look forward to summer vacation, but by the same token, I’m excited to go back in the fall…
Love the different sizes, the colour and the textures.
don’t see many grain bins here in texas. tons in the midwest, though. :)
Circles and lines everywhere, love it.
We have lots of those in the Midwest and they seem to be getting bigger and bigger.
These are so interesting – so industrial looking, yet agricultural at the same time. They must seem surreal in the landscape. I like this, it would make a great enlargement for decorating a room. xx
Nice angle & composition! We have many of these out here in Alberta, in fact my friend has a couple on his property just for storage! Feels like home.. Thanks for your recent visit. : )
Oh Madge, you make wonderful pictures with “nothing”, simply great!
We have a huge collection of these in the middle of town — it’s a comforting scene for me. :)
I like it too with all the circles and lines! :)
This is wonderful! Repetition of patterns, textures, colors…excellent!
Love it!
You must have been on top of one of those silos! Great shot!
That’s a lot of grain bins & lots of storage!
Very good! I love bin graphics!
