A view from the M/V Tacoma, a Washington State Ferry. As the ferry eased away from the downtown Seattle dock, I got a couple shots of the Seattle Great Wheel and the iconic Seattle Space Needle. My husband and I took a day off from painting the exterior of the house (we’re just about done), taking a ferry across Elliott Bay and Puget Sound to Bainbridge Island and on further to Kitsap Peninsula to Point-No-Point for a picnic. It was a perfect day…
Tomorrow is the first day of school. Four-thirty comes early when it’s met with the jarring sound of an alarm clock. I’ll try to get a post up for you all…

Great shot Madge! I always like “taken from a ferry” shots.
awesome shot to get both
ferris wheels make awesome foto ops from the ground for me .. i just cant do heights .. especially in a cage that sways .. thank you ,no!
Fun shot. I would love to explore that area with my camera.
Neat picture! It sounds like you had a nice day to relax before heading back to work! :)
I have yet to be in Seattle to see the great wheel. I wonder if those who wanted a pristine waterfront for the view from their condominium were happy with this development. Your day using the ferry and picnic at point-no-point sounds perfect.
Summer has sure slipped away, but I can’t say I am sad to see it go. Get to bed early!
Four-thirty? What’s that? I start back to work on Monday but I’ll be lying-in till six. It’s great how the wheel brings everything together in that shot.
