Seattle is the number one U.S. city in coffee consumption, is that a surprise? With 35 coffee shops and latte stands per 100,000 people, that’s serving up a lot of joe! Within one mile of my house there are five coffee shops or stands alone and many more within another couple mile radius. Needless to say if you want coffee, you can find it everywhere! Here, is the neon coffee cup marking Seattle’s Best Coffee shop on Post Alley near the Pike Place Market.
I don’t have to have a latte to enjoy a cup. To make morning coffee, I use a pour over Melitta pot with a cone on top for the filter and grounds. I do have a espresso machine (a DeLonghi) as well, and that often is my evening treat, a decaf latte with sugar free caramel drizzled on top of the foam. Addicted, yes, you could probably classify me as a coffee addict, even though I love and drink tea too!

In my book, Seattle gets the credit for transforming coffee from a bland utility drink to a tasty treat to savor in comfortable shops with good music and fellow n’er-do-wells lounging around . . .
I would frame that for the kitchen. :) Love it!
you find the coolest things ever to photgraph
Great shot,thanks for hosting :)
…and a big red cheery cup at that! :)
Beautiful photo, good capture I like that strong red.
Coffee addict here, too, but just rich and dark, no cream, no sugar. Just coffee. If I ever get to Seattle, I’ll try it all, though!
I love my morning coffee, and around here we are surrounded with Star Buck and Tim Horton!
wonderful image!
A coffee aficionado – Bravo. I too have 5 terrific coffee houses within a block radius. Blue Bottle, and Sightglass are the two best. I also have a non-pod Francis Francis espresso machine – but am a French Press girl when it comes to large pots. Love the angle you shot this at, nice capture.
P.S. = Have migrated from blogger to wordpress – am putting in correct address on this comment –
Oh, yeah! Nothing quite like a good cup!
I like the neon coffee cup! Would love to have even one coffee shop in my neighborhood!
Great sign! The only problem with most coffee shops is that they don’t know how to brew a good of tea for us non-coffee drinkers.
Awesome cup. Mine would be full of hot chocolate.
I got it wrong on the rainfall and I would have guessed this wrong, too. I had no idea Seattle was Numero Uno for coffee. Love that neon sign! I do love my coffee, too!
Nice capture, Madge. Makes me want to go and myself a cup right now :-)
Thanks for hosting!
love that coffee sign .. i recently began collecting neon sign pix .. a collage will be made eventually ..
I take mine black, but mild.
Linking up with you again this week :-) Love your shot! You find the coolest things!!
An excellent reason to visit Seattle!
Love, love coffee.
And love, love tea, too.
Great shot. I’m more of a tea drinker.
I don’t know why, but I don’t care for coffee… I could never get used to the taste. Haven’t really tried the others, but I like tea… however, my drink of choice is PEPSI!!! LOVE PEPSI!!! =)
I need one of those neon signs for my house- love that.
