Bright skies, brilliant snowy peaks and deep ultramarine blue waters.
Such is the view at the private ferry dock to Heron Island on Key Peninsula. This little ferry holds about twelve cars on deck (thanks Donna for giving me the correct number :-) )to traverse the mile or so ride to the private island in the middle of Case Inlet. The Olympic Mountains on the Olympic Peninsula soar behind the bright red ferry and deep blue water to give a dramatic contrast of color and brilliance. This is a quiet little place along the shore, and a nice place for a short walk and a leisurely picnic.
Thanks for joining me today for the view that is right here! ~ Madge
Very nicely done, Madge!
pretty shot against all the blues and whites…
This makes me want to take a trip. Lovely composition.
Lovely shot, Madge!
A pretty place! You’ve captured the essence perfectly! I want to go there! xx
When shall I be there for a short walk? The mountains in the background make me swoon.
What a beautiful spot. Look at those mountains.
Brilliant photo, Madge. Thanks for sharing.
I wish I lived closer to an ocean or at least a lake. I got a river about 1/2 hour away but it’s a little big boring.
Lovely shot Madge!
Very pretty! I must go check my map and find out where this is!
It actually takes 12…we have had property there for about 10 years…Love It!
Simply stunning-Seattle seems such a beautiful city.
