Daily activities to ready for business each day at Seattle’s famous Pike Place Market ramp up long before customers start shopping, workers dress for the cold weather as the market is not heated and today, Saint Patrick’s Day it is about 37 degrees and snowing. An employee at the meat merchant Don and Joe’s Meats is prepping for opening soon, as a large shamrock shaped balloon floats above the display cases and the reader board says ‘Thin Irish Corned Beef.’ By the time I finished strolling, shooting and shopping I was thoroughly cold…
‘May your blessings outnumber the shamrocks that grow…’ Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!
Thanks for joining me today for the view that is right here! ~ Madge

37 degrees. :) thanks for sharing the view!
Very appropriate shot for St Paddy’s Day, Madge!
Many thanks for hosting!
I’ve seen this place on TV — love how they throw the fish around! Great shot, Madge. Happy St. Paddy’s Day!
What a colorful place that market is! Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you!
It looks like you caught the market at a good time.
Looks like a great place to shop, but unheated??
It would be hard to go to work there sometimes.
Nice shot of the market before the crowds surge in. The Pike Place Market is such a great place to visit over and over.
I think it would be so interesting to walk around a busy city locale…before it becomes busy!
Thanks for the reminder, I had totally forgotten to post. If I forget again please remind me to post and play.
You certainly find some wonderful shots.

Hi Madge – just saying hi and joining your linky party.
Lovely photo this week. It makes me want to have a peek in the cases.
Happy St. Paddy’s Day to you, too! You’ve captured the lighting so clearly, I feel like I am standing right there waiting for those chains to open so I can buy my corned beef! xx
Wow! 37, we hardly experienced that this year. We will be in the 80’s today.
I’ve seen those shops on tv, my fiance has been to them when he worked in WA. Would love to visit someday.
Happy St. Paddy’s Day! Lovely photo! I visited Ireland last month and I loved it :)
Great slice’o’life photo!
What a cool place. I enjoy “experiencing” Seattle through your photos.
