School’s out forever at this old one room school. Found on the outskirts of the very small, rural town of Dusty, WA, this was the former Jones School District #146, but locals just call it the Dusty School. It now houses the Dusty Gun Club, but the impression of feelings as you walk around this place are the lingering images and sounds of former students playing and studying here.
Thanks for joining me today, for the view that is right here! ~ Madge

My first thought was wow, it is in good shape unless you jazzed it up, and here it is being used as a gun club. Hard to imagine being in a one room school house isn’t it? Nice Madge.
What a cute little building.
Cute as a bug, that one. Love the perspective shot through the trees. Thanks for sharing at RT, Madge! :)
The sky thru those branches looks so neat! Love the old schoolhouse! Wonderful capture! =)
what a sweet little building. :)
I like the way it’s nestled in among the trees. At least it has survived to see another day… but a gun club! :-) I like the deep red of the old school. I visited my first-grade school in Kansas only to find an empty lot with trees around a the remains of a few school yard toys.
Beautiful shot! Lovely setting. . .nicely done.
Welcome back to blogging. So sorry you had such hassles!
Love shots of these old one-room schools – nice catch Madge!
What a pretty little building. I’m glad that it’s been restored/maintained. It’s a lovely setting.
What a gem. Fantastic image
Wonderful find!
That really is cute.
I haven’t visited many blogs in a couple weeks. I really like this photo. What is it about red buildings that always capture the eye?
