Feeling blue and a bit down? This little row boat knows just how you feel! Attached to a houseboat along the ship canal in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, it has filled with rain water and has a small tree growing in the bow. Looks like it could use a good bail out, scrubbing and a new coat of paint, the effort might just set it right again. Maybe…
Sometimes I feel a bit like this little row boat, especially in the morning at about 04:15 when the alarm clock tells me it’s time to get up to get ready for work. Still feeling tired, I hit the snooze button for a few more winks (not) and then head to the kitchen to make coffee (my bail out), which usually sets things right again! Then a good scrubbing (shower) and a new coat of paint (makeup) and I’m good to go. Maybe…

i always feel like that little row boat before my coffee….it’s a beautiful image none-the-less!
that is a very cool shot!
This little boat does need some tlc. Your moring sounds much like mine except for the part about the coffee. I never aquired a taste for it.
Wow, talk about feeling neglected – a tree in the bow. Great catch Madge!
wow. poor thing!
Love this post! From your description, I imagine that is why ‘they’ refer to boats as ‘she’ and ‘her’ as in ‘She’s a beaute!’ LOL
That dingy has certainly seen better days. But she’s still afloat.
Seems like I recall being in a boat like that a few years back…wasn’t fun but it was interesting!
Poor little boat. Love the reflection.
Everything in that shot tells a story – it is amazing what you can see when you study a photo.
Another classic shot Madge- great that these boats are being loved by you at least! (and us!)

I used to visit a marina fairly regularly and always wondered where the owners of abandoned boats went. It isn’t cheap keeping a boat and letting it fall into such disrepair seems so sad. Wonderful, wonderful shot.
I know just how this little boat feels. We must have been on the same wavelength – thanks for stopping by my site to read and comment.
You find the most interesting subjects… I like the color combination here too!
very nice shot…the clarity…the color…the reflection!!
I love that there is a little tree trying to grow in this boat. Will power is a wonderful thing! The picture is very colorful and serene. I love it!
