Clip clopping hooves, twinkling lights, festively decorated window displays, carousel riders, shoppers going into and coming out of department stores, these sights and sounds are to be enjoyed from a horse drawn carriage ride around downtown Seattle during the Christmas season. Every time I see one of these pretty carriages, the thought of taking a ride in one of them seems so romantic. Fifteen minute rides are $30, a half hour ride is $70 and the hour long ride is $120. The half hour and hour rides include the heart of downtown where the best of the Christmas lights and sites are viewed. Watching local online coupon sites, I’ve been hoping to find a ‘deal’ so my husband and I could tour downtown, enjoying the sites and sounds of a Seattle Christmas.
Hope the coupon fairy finds you Madge! Margie
i like all the blues – even the driver’s hoodie. :)
cool…so christmas-y!! i hope u can take a ride! my husband and i did that in St Augustine (FL) a few years back. definitely worth it! (of course it was half the price here…so maybe u can find that coupon!!)
That would truly be a spirit filled and romantic ride I think.
I’ve never been for a carriage ride. Do they provide a blanket for keeping warm?
That sounds like fun!
Agree, there is something special about a horse drawn carriage.
would be fun to indulge for a ride during the season of joy!
That is rather steep. Of course, when on vacation, we tend to throw the budget and common sense out the window. Hope you and your hubby find a bargain sometime soon. Sounds like a great experience one should have at least once in a lifetime. :)
