Future riders stand waiting in line, watching the swirling colors… ‘The Puyallup Fair’ is officially known as ‘The Western Washington State Fair.’ It is the single largest event in the state, annually drawing more than one million visitors during the seventeen day run and ranked among the top ten largest fairs in the world. Here one of two ferris wheels at the Fair, is caught by long exposure, turning it a psychedelic spinning display of color and movement. Almost everyone I know will ‘do’ the Puyallup Fair. For a number of years, the theme song for the Fair was ‘Do The Puyallup.’ The lyrics went ‘Oh you can do it at a trot…You can do it at a gallop…You can do it real slow so your heart won’t palpitate…Just don’t be late…Do the Puyallup! Well it is done for another year… hope you did it!
Another great shot Madge!
Thanks, Paul!
Once again, Madge, you have out done yourself. Wonderful shot!
My daughter and I had such a good time…
It’s great to be entertained while you wait in line for your turn.
Yes, it is a bit mesmerizing …
Gotta love that wide angle lens! JEALOUS!
It’s a keeper! ;-)
LOVE this picture! But one tiny correction, it’s just The Western Washington Fair. It’s never been a state fair. Common mistake. I learned that after living in Pierce County. In 2006 they changed the name officially to Puyallup Fair.
All these years I’ve always thought it was the WWSF, at least that is what it was called with I was a kid in the 50s and 60s… The Puyallup Fair is probably more fitting…
Incredible. The lights are mesmerizing. B
It was!
Wonderful night shot Madge, with beautiful colors and action!
Thanks, Karl…
