‘My other vehicle is a…’ Have you seen those license plate frames on vehicles which say ‘My other vehicle is a..’ Harley Davidson, a Broom, a School Bus or, you fill in the blank?? That was my first thought when I saw this beautiful boat tied up to a small house boat patio on the north shore of Lake Union near Gas Works Park. The gently rippling water is so inviting under the now cerulean blue skies of a summer afternoon. I would love to have this skiff for a little while. Putting on my sunglasses, life vest, some sun screen and a hat I’d shove off for a paddle around in the sun, enjoying the ‘water’ life around the lake. Ahhh, and to enjoy the fact that summer has finally arrived in Seattle, yippee! Wouldn’t you love that too??
oh this makes me want to jump right into that little boat and paddle around the lake! how pretty this is!
Hey Tanya… I see TWO sets of oars… let’s go!
Nice shot and nice boat. Looks like out there in the Seattle area!
Thanks Bruce… it is glorious in Seattle when the sun is out, I’m so thankful for these days of summer! What a delight!
Beautiful day for such a lovely photo! I’d definitely take that boat as an alternate form of transportation!
My thoughts exactly, Christina! ;-)

Thank you Kary! I always enjoy my visits to your blog too! ;-)
A beautiful, vibrant sense of peace! Gorgeous water view!
It is vibrant and the gentle ripples on the lake evoke a sense of peace doesn’t it? Thanks!
It was there in the NW(Portland) 3 weeks ago when I was there. Enjoy!
The weatherman seems to be predicting summer at least through next week… happy dance here! :-)
That is just so colorful and beautiful!
Thanks Randy…! ;-)
Beautiful photo of a beautiful day.
Have a nice weekend, Karl
Thanks Karl … I hope too, you have a good weekend too. It is always good with a camera in our hands, yes?!
Great image, I would really like that boat, a little less the part about rowing…
There are TWO sets of oars, just invite someone along and let them do the paddling!! Lol! ;-)
So pretty. Teal and red-orange, one of my favorite color combinations!
Summer in Seattle must be lovely!
Summer here IS lovely when we have it… early on summer failed to launch… up until last week we had 66 minutes of 80 degree plus weather. But I won’t complain too loudly… so many are suffering around the country with a terrible drought and triple digit heat. I am blessed!
Lovely photo! This reminds me of “Sleepless in Seattle”!
Yes… yes it does! That was a good show…
