In the kitchen at Fado Irish Pub and Restaurant, employees step out through the large swiveling window to sit in the cool breeze on the old iron fire escape to enjoy their afternoon coffee break. These two fellows in their white shirts hang out for a little bit before heading back into the heat of the kitchen. Fado could not be considered an authentic Irish pub, it is Americanized of course, but it is a very popular gathering place to enjoy a pint of Irish brew and a bite to eat. Cheerio!
Lovely photo- I have taken something similar but not posted it yet. I guess coffee beaks are usually the same the world over
;-)

Yes..I expect coffee breaks would look share similarities the world over.. that would make an interesting photographic quest.. post your photo and we could share post links. ;-)
Fado is also a Portugese music genre, which is what initially came to me when I saw your title.
I didn’t know about the music genre..I’ll have to check that out..thanks for the tip!
I find fire escapes intriguing! Funnily enough, this is the second post today featuring a coffee break. :)
I too, find these old iron fire escapes interesting… I love their character and shape…they add character to the backs of old buildings and often the alleyways they inhabit. I’ll have to see if I can find the other coffee break post.
I love Seattle. Can’t wait to get back there. Will soon be posting the rest of my pics from my brief Seattle Visit last weekend!
I’ll be checking in and waiting to see what you post! :-)
Pretty impressive structure and Am sure my wife would enjoy this pub.
It is on my ‘to visit’ list…
