Barney’s Loans – Need Cash??

A throwback to an earlier era, Barney’s Loans is an old time pawn shop. Long before payday loans were even thought of, this is where one could go when short on cash and in need of a loan. Do you want to pawn or sell, that is the question. What do you have in your hand that could generate a few bucks? A musical instrument, an old wedding ring, a chain saw, tools, a stereo? Barney’s Loans at 401 2nd Avenue on the corner of Washington Street, is located in historic Pioneer Square. Although an old fashioned shop, Barney’s is still a busy business helping those who are down on their luck. Pawn shops still hold a somewhat seedy reputation, but they fill a need, personally I’ve only been in one once. What about you?
