The Raging River is a tributary of the Snoqualimie River and a popular venue for kayaking enthusiasts. Running along the Preston Fall City Road, the river passes underneath a little used (now for residential traffic) bridge that spans the river on a small portion of the old road. The five mile stretch between the two towns is classified as a class III+ section by American Whitewater. When the river level is up it runs fast and furious (hence the name), I am not into kayaking, but it looks dicey to me at best. The water level on the day this photo was captured was low and looks rather tranquil.
