Barn on Green Hollow Rd -Colfax WA

A bit rustic, a seldom used barn still stands, paint peeling, moss growing and shingles falling. Following the Palouse River northeast of Colfax WA, I came across this barn standing near a covered bridge and a vintage truck peeping out from behind it.

Work is calling, I must go get ready for another really wet day of driving in the rain. Visibility is bad; windows steam up; noise of heaters, fans and defrosters on high; traction is less; kids are soaked; bus steps are wet and slippery… Monday.

  1. This is a real find, Madge. Although not good for roofs, love when moss takes over. You chose an excellent perspective for this shoot so all the elements could be a part of the photo. And, yes, I remember those Mondays you described. Thankful to be retired now.

  2. A greeting-card-worthy photo for sure! I am late viewing/posting here…still trying to clear out my blog and get some room for new photos – it’s too time-consuming!…but I’m so glad I caught this. A beautiful shot on a not-so-beautiful Monday for you. We had the same here on the east coast and I hope your week has gotten easier. Hugs!
