Red Geranium

Milk Room of a Snoqualmie Valley Dairy

Dairy farms are not usually frills and flowers. Here along the West Snoqualmie Valley Road, a classic red dairy barn’s milk room has been decorated with a flowery valance in the window and a red geranium beneath outside. The farm wife here obviously enjoys her freedom to make the place pretty and I, for one, enjoyed the feminine touch.

  1. You described the red color of this barn exactly–geranium. I suppose if you have to spend the amount of time that’s required in the milk parlor, may as well make it homey! We’re on the same track this week. My “charmer” features window boxes.
