Geraldine's Counter - Diner in Columbia City

Breakfast at Geraldine’s Counter in Columbia City neighborhood of Seattle WA. Delicious! An athletic trip transporting the wrestling tearm from Highline High School to Cleveland High School, found me with hours of time on my hands and a hollow, hungry stomach. I secured the school bus, joined my husband in his truck and we were off, looking for a place to eat on Seattle’s Beacon Hill, Columbia City or Rainier Valley neighborhoods. Looking on my android phone on Yelp.com I found a local eatery called Geraldine’s Counter in the Columbia City. It was touted as a modern version of the traditional diner, rated four stars and close by. We arrived about 09:30, even though it was busy, we were seated at a table by the windows facing Rainier Avenue as we walk in. Our waiter was prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. Avocado Pepper Jack Omelette

My husband chose the ’Counter Special,’ with bacon, eggs, hash browns and toast. I chose the ’Avocado Pepper Jack Omelette,’ and a freshly made biscuit instead of toast. This was our first visit to Geraldine’s Counter, but certainly NOT our last!
