Fog: (noun); A thick cloud of water droplets suspended in the atmosphere at or near the earth’s surface that obscures or restricts visibility.
Here very early on a typical Seattle winter morning,
a large Edwardian style home in the Madison Park neighborhood of Seattle,
sits shrouded in fog.
Thick and clinging,
the fog creates mystery.
The very large, nude maple tree in the parking strip
reaches its branches toward the house,
as if to embrace it in shades of black and deep gray.

I like fog,
to me it’s almost like snow.
The mystery.
The beauty.
The quiet.

Beautiful capture!
Well done
it is pretty.
Fascinating, looks like scene of a movie.
Nice shot. Fog certainly does create an atmosphere that is both beautiful and mysterious.
It looks like a shot from a movie! :)
I like fog too, makes everything feel intimate.
YOu could write a good mystery story from this photo.
Nice, Madge! I like fog also. I feel protected with it around me.
Girl.
I love Seattle. Remind me to tell you a story about flooding our room at the Alexis Hotel sometime.
Oh, yeah. We did.
I like the mysterious feeling that fog gives things.
Hi Madge,
I am glad that I found your blog and I am glad to have you as a follower.
Your photography is beautiful and your words about fog are very poetic. The whole scene is phenomenal in this picture. And very mysterious. This is a WOW photograph!!!
Greetings from Kaya.
Beutifully eerie Madge. I love it!
Fog is eerie, yet beautiful.
This is so atmospheric and mysterious. Early morning fog promises bright, sunny day in my part of the world.
Thank you for becoming my blog friend. I tried to do the same thing but because of something wrong with Google + on my part, I added the URL of your blog to my Reading List of the dash board.

The fog makes it look so mysterious.
You mentioned you wished you had barn cats now. Well we adopted two last fall and guess what? They are mostly indoor cats, LOL. Oh well.
That is so pretty! Wow!
lovely .. lots of fog here this morning …
GORGEOUS view from right there!! I like the fog and I LOVE the profile of that house. ;) blessings ~ tanna

Very atmospheric. You should repost at Halloween! :)
Our fog finally lifted when the snow started to fall! Lovely moody shot.
Oh how mysterious. I love fog & the mood it lends to images.
I like fog. I always look at it as if it’s a blanket that wraps itself around the world…at least until I have to drive through that blanket. And then there’s the ‘hair trauma’ it creates…yikes!
Another beauty. Edwardian? On to Wikipedia . . .
I so agree with you…fog or snow will improve any picture and sometimes take something totally dull and make it outstanding.
