De·crep·it – diˈkrepit/ – adjective, worn out or ruined because of age or neglect.

Here,
near the small western Washington town of Carnation,
I spotted this old tanker truck almost totally obscured in the brush and weeds alongside Highway 203,
the Fall City Duvall Road.
: : :
At sometime,
perhaps as a gesture to preserve it from the weather
and encroaching woods, someone threw a blue tarp over the hood
and it drapes over the grill,
rotting away.
: : :
My son (a mechanic)
thought it might be a Dodge from the late 1930s.
Me,
I haven’t a clue,
but I bet in her day
she was
a
beauty.

It’s becoming a colorful piece of art! Fantastic shot!!!
all i can say is WOW!
WOW, decrepit is too little…
What a great find, Madge!!
Happy weekend!
Nothing like an old truck with rusty blue paint and moss. Just WOW!
It somehow reminds me of a sad puppy face. :)
Love the original paint colors.
A very unique find!
Hope you’re having a splendid fall weekend!
It’s Alive! Lol. What great colors in this photo Madge. Love it.
Ingenious photo!
As nature is conquering her territory back …
That’s really cool! I’m surprised you even spotted it under all that foliage!
Madge you always have excellent photos. With this one you out done yourself. It’s a beautiful blend of material and colours.
This is such a fantastic shot ~ so creative ~ love the ole girl ~ carol~ ^_^
Looks like stumbling across buried treasure!
Great shot, Madge. Reminds me of the Japanese “Wabi-sabi” (侘寂), which represents a comprehensive Japanese world view or aesthetic centred on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is “imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete”. It is a concept derived from the Buddhist teaching of the three marks of existence (三法印 sanbōin), specifically impermanence (無常 mujō), the other two being suffering (苦 ku) and emptiness or absence of self-nature (空 kū).Characteristics of the wabi-sabi aesthetic include asymmetry, asperity (roughness or irregularity), simplicity, economy, austerity, modesty, intimacy and appreciation of the ingenuous integrity of natural objects and processes.
Thanks for hosting!
Wow! That is great insight!..
What a fabulous capture this is! The poor old truck is being reclaimed by the land it sits on.
Stunningly fabulous!!!
That is a stunning photo.
Oh Lord! This gives “decrepit” new meaning.
Wow, that is a fascinating photo!
Oh my, what an awesome find! I’m just wondering how much time I would have spent here taking photos….LOTS! :)
That definition fits the truck well. Age and neglect has sealed its fate. I never knew moss could grow on metal!
I like this photo, Madge!
Wow – the vegetation is swallowing that truck! Neat scene.
well now that is a really cool discover! There is nothing cool on the side of any roads by me! It would be hauled away for sure
That’s sad.
impressive ! kind of beauty in it ! :)
It looks like it’s gone beyond decrepit. Love the fact that nature’s taking it back.
If a picture ever defined a word, that one certainly does, Madge. Wonderful shot!
What a beautiful photo! It looks as if it could almost come to life, as a character in a fantasy movie.
that truck has developed into a work of art!
I love this photo!!
This is an awesome shot! Love the vibrant blue hidden by nature’s greens.
Cool photo!
