Vinca minor: (common names lesser periwinkle or dwarf periwinkle or creeping myrtle) is a species of flowering plant native to central and southern Europe, with evergreen leaves and purple flowers.

Here,
in my front garden,
creeping myrtle has taken hold and grown to cover our whole yard.
I do love it, it takes virtually no care,
is evergreen and blooms most of the spring
and early summer.

I have finally recovered from my seven week long asthma exacerbation
that began initially with a minor chest cold.
Strange, it happens quickly, the finally recovery,
much like someone throwing a switch,
‘on,’ and then suddenly ‘off.’

I did have a small opportunity to play with my new camera,
a Fuji XT-1, a 16.3 mp mirrorless camera.
So far I am enjoying it,
I do love the focusing of this camera,
it seems more accurate than my Pentax K5,
which I will be selling.

I love these flowers too – the way they take over and keep everything pretty and bright. Lovely photo.
One of my favorites.
Yay for restored health.
Yay for a camera you are enjoying.
And yay for Creeping Myrtle.
The color is so vibrant! I love vinca, but see it only in annual baskets.
So glad you are feeling much better, Madge!
Such lovely blossoms and bright, evergreen leaves.
so pretty, that purple and green!
