It is just five days

until the season changes to autumn,

and it is raining in Seattle.

But here,

another image from last Tuesday, a sunny,

mild, late summer day.

I’ve caught a view of

the gantry cranes at Terminal 37 (facing to the right)

and Terminal 18 on Harbor Island (facing to the left),

glimmering in the low angle of the sun as it rises

above Beacon Hill at 06:55.

There won’t be many more days like these left

before the serious rainy season is upon us

here in the Pacific Northwest.
