Needing to find a restroom while out and about can be a problem sometimes. I find myself in this conundrum often especially while out on photography jaunts. Often there just doesn’t seem to be anywhere to ‘go.’ I feel bad if I go into a service station or fast food restaurant to use the restroom without making a purchase. Sometimes to assuage my conscience I purchase something small whether I need it or not just so I feel like the clerks are not boring a hole in my back with their eyes, thinking ‘there’s another one, just here for the bathroom.’ Here in the Sanitary Market Building at the Pike Place Market is this nice, well kept restroom with an interestingly tiled wall. Ahhh….

I’m right there with you…wish there were more places like this one!
What a great wall! And a great convenience! I’ve been photographying at a local park a lot lately and they have port-o-johns…thank God they are clean and well-maintained. There’s always a pit stop after I stop at the lake and before I start the trail hike…ahhhhhh! LOL
amazing wall, i am thinking it took a lot of time and talent to create it. my husband says i know the locations of every public restroom in our county and on the 400 mile of roads from here to Savannah and that i have been in all of them at least once.
Haha, it has happened to all of us and yes, I also purchase a little something so I’m not “one of those”!
really clever tiling.
did you know there’s an app for finding restrooms … its called, I kid you not .. Sit or Squat!
What a great tile mural!!
Guys have it so much easier, especially out here in the country! ;)
Lovely restroom area. I still will go into a fast food place to use the restroom – they are often (not always) clean and at least they will have soap and hot water to wash up with after. Sometimes I’ll buy a little bit, but if it is busy I will sneak back to my car unnoticed.
I have the same problem when out and about taking photos – have to plan ahead I guess, if possible.
That’s a cool wall! I love how you shot it. Most people would have just walked right by, so thanks for snapping a photo and sharing :)
I didn’t have to go until now, just kidding. Nice tile work.
One of the joys of getting older. I know where every publicly available toilet is in Powell River, because I need to know!
Ha, ha. Love the mosaic.
Adorable tile work and how genius of someone to come up with this. XOX
