Cattle rest peacefully near the barn in the late summer sunshine. Here on the northern tip of the Kitsap Peninsula near the tiny community of Hansville, is this classic barn and silo.
Yesterday, was the seventh day of school and while my days are still long, they are beginning to fall into a daily routine. At my early elementary school (one of seven schools I transport for daily), I have a completely full bus with 76 students, 15 of whom are kindergarteners. It is a bit stressful ensuring all of those K’s get off at the right stop and into the care of their parents, but it’s all good.

gorgeous!
wow, what a gloomy day there … such a great barn. what a view. (:
a very peaceful scene which sounds in complete contrast to your daily route.
Lovely bucolic scene!
I have a brother on the other, right, coast that has your job, and he thinks it’s the greatest.
wow! marvelous scene! the cattle in front by the barn, the horse in the back near the neatly-tucked-in house. WOW!!!
Gorgeous setting and a nice barn. Glad you have already settled into your bus routine. Have a great week!
What a lovely and serene looking place.
I love this photo so relaxing. Boy you are one brave woman with all that driving and kindergarten kids:) I admire that. B
With the start of school, it sounds a though you need a few pastoral views!! :)
What a beautiful place this is!
Nice shot! Looks like a working farm.
I like the light in this view. And the gentle slope of the land.
Another beautiful example for your repertoire of barns.
The parents of those kindergartners who are on your route are lucky to have somebody as conscientious as you, Madge, taking charge of their kiddos before and after school!
That is one beautiful scene! My first grandson just started kindergarten. I saw him on Monday and he told me was wasn’t going and then he walked out the door to get into the car. You have one tough job with those K kids! But it’s all good :)
What a beautiful place.
A beautiful serene scene! How do you keep all those kids straight and get them to the right place? I’m sure it gets easier as the days go by.
Got a feel of Western NY State.
After a hard day’s work I’m sure a scene like this could help lower blood pressure.
I’m surprised that parents would ship a kindergartener off on a bus! Your job sounds daunting. . .and heroic!
What a beautiful scene, Madge. The sky also looks amazing. It was probably hard deciding where to place the horizon.
I don’t envy you having the responsibility for all of those kids.
I love this whole scene!
Oh my goodness what a BEAUTIFUL picture!!! That is gorgeous.
