Trees at a farm in the Snohomish Valley show off their brilliant fall colors. Fall colors are really beginning to pop around Puget Sound now, and the rain that began falling yesterday is a very welcome respite from the more than 80 days of dry weather. I love the change in seasons and especially to autumn, when I can again enjoy hearty soups. On the menu tonight is my own recipe for corn chowder with potatoes and homemade baking powder biscuits. Still fighting off (hopefully) a virus, but I must admit I may be losing the battle at this point, where is that economy size bottle of vitamin C anyway?

OOPS… neglected to wish you a Happy Anniversary! I would love to find the time to post every week but somehow am just too scattered these days trying to do too many things. Wonder what happened to all that time I was supposed to have on my hands when I retired?! HA!
