Eagle Harbor – Weekly Top Shot #46

Eagle Harbor - Bainbridge Island

Quaint looking setting, sailboats secured against the weather in Eagle Harbor, nestled against the fir trees on Puget Sound. Sometimes while driving around in downtown Seattle, among the sleek skyscrapers and all that urban living has to offer, one momentarily forgets that our region is tied tightly to the maritime industry and leisure activities. While waiting for the return ferry trip back to Seattle from Bainbridge Island, the view of Eagle Harbor was lovely and peaceful.

Hoping you and yours have an enjoyable, long holiday weekend. Labor Day, is an extra day of rest and for remembrance of the contribution of the skills, ingenuity and dedication of the working man in America. While not technically correct, I think for most of us it also signals the end of summer.

I always look forward to cooler weather, especially upon returning to work. School buses have two temperatures inside, hot or cold, and there isn’t much in between! Did you know they are air-conditioned? There are 26 windows the kids can put ‘down to the black line on the window sill please!’ That prevents body parts being put outside the bus in harms way…

AUGUST GIVEAWAY WINNER is Helene over at Photokismet! Congratulations! I’ll be sending you 12 ounces of Dillanos award winning coffee.

  1. I’M SO EXCITED! Thank you, thank you for the coffee!!! This has made my weekend!
And this shot of the harbor is beautiful. Love how it’s composed to show the trees towering over the buildings and boats. I imagine that would be stunning in any and every season!
Again, Madge, thank you so much!
