Twi·light : twīˌlīt : [noun] : the soft glowing light from the sky when the sun is below the horizon, caused by the refraction and scattering of the sun’s rays from the atmosphere.

Here,
at 05:02 am
while the day is yet young and still considered twilight, not yet sunrise.
Sunrise technically is when the orb of the sun
breaks the horizon.
: : :
While traveling to the Palouse,
this pre-sunrise sky was dramatic and huge.
I was amazed at the cloud formation,
which was dripping a bit of rain into the atmosphere
and was barely reaching the fertile
fields below.

Greetings from Germany
wow! That’s really something to behold.
That is an amazing photo!
Beautiful colors and great cloud formation!
Wonderful colors!
I had read on another blog that 20 minutes before or after sunrise/sunset is the best time to capture dramatic skies. Your shot certainly proves it♪
Amazing capture.
