The full moon comes once a month, sometimes twice.
: : :
Here,
in rural Whitman County,
I caught August’s full moon filtered through the pine trees
atop Kamiak Butte.
: : :
There was the slightest wisp of clouds giving a covering of atmospheric ‘lace.’
Do you enjoy the moon in all its phases?
I do,
and over the wheat fields in the Palouse,
she was a lovely friend
in the dark skies
of night.

Madge,
I often take notice of the moon and stars. It is a simple beauty that makes me smile.
What a beautiful shot, very peaceful, and I LOVE the wispy clouds! :)
Ahhhh, one of my favorite subjects! Can’t get enough of shooting the moon!
I do love a full moon, but have not yet mastered how to capture it properly.
Beautiful- my moon shots are always a big messy blur. This is just gorgeous Madge.
I enjoy every phase of the moon’s face. You caught a fine view of this harvest moon with the trees and the wisp of covering that gives the moon a fine glow.
this is a stunning shot, we take a late late evening picnic snack and hike to the top of small knoll where the ruins of our medieval monastery/castle stands and enjoy any good weather full moon, this is really a fantastic shot. (a ps. if I may, I no longer on facebook and can’t figure out (yet) g+ so excuse my sporadic visits to your wonderful blog).
I’ve probably told you that I’ve never been able to photograph the moon! This is absolutely marvelous, Madge! The silhouetted trees, that wisp of cloud or light in front of the moon…..beautiful!
That shot is gorgeous!!! I love to look at the moon, but so rarely have a view that isn’t marred by overhead wires. This view is fantastic!
I am such a big fan of the moon!

What a stunning shot!
What a beautiful capture of that late August moon. I do love the moon in all of it’s phases, but especially that full moon. Hope you are feeling fine these days.
The moon is always gorgeous in any phase but I can’t sleep very well when it is full :)
So peaceful.
I can’t seem to master the art of taking a great photo of the moon. Tried many times. Finally gave up, but OH.. how I enjoy yours!! xox
I love the little bit of clouds – fabulous shot!
Fabulous moon photo.
Those wispy clouds were the first thing I noticed. Great shot!
