Uninspired - Computer Keyboard

U is for ‘uninspired,’ un·in·spired, əninˈspī(ə)rd. Uninspired, 10 letters, meaning ‘Having no intellectual, emotional, or spiritual excitement.’

Dull, unimaginative, lackluster.

There it is ~ the unvarnished truth.

I am feeling dull and lackluster today.

No feelings of liveliness, no spirit, no enthusiasm, simply uninspired.

I did drive four hours yesterday to visit my sister, it was an enjoyable visit, but marred by still being ill.

I was supposed to go in for an MRI on my back today, but cannot lie flat without coughing, it has already been postponed twice.

Hoping to get well and regain inspiration for my photography, Saturday is Weekly Top Shot and I’ll have to delve in my cache of images.

But today, I’m staying quiet and watching my DVD copies of ‘Downton Abbey, Seasons 1 & 2.’

And reading a book my sister gave me, ‘Best Friends Forever, Me and My Dog.’

  • So sorry you’re not feeling up to par. It happens to the best of us, for me especially in the winter time. Usually when I’m feeling really uninspired I have a creative streak waiting just around the corner. Hope your streak comes soon :)

well it looks like you were very inspired to come up with the picture of the U on the keyboard… great post and you were inspired to put it all the the right, and there is so much inspiration used here, it might not count as Uninspired at all. great post and sorry you still feel bad

  • Kay says:

Very imaginative post, Madge, though I’m very sorry to read you’re feeling poorly. Still slogging my way through the new landscape of chronic illness, I can truly relate. . .and I heartily endorse a Downton Abbey festival. We’re counting the days ’til Season 3 is on its way to us from Amazon. (I recommend the book “The World of Downton Abbey” if you haven’t gotten your fill via DVD.)

Take it easy and take good care of yourself!

Having bronchitis is not any fun. I’ve suffered with that in the past and it can linger and linger! I think it is the constant dampness around here. Your post is very clever! You inspire me even when you are uninspired! Enjoy your DVD’s and book. Sounds like a good time to me! Sending healing thoughts. xx

  • Angela says:

Madge, I do hope you feel better soon. I’m amazed you even took that photo which is difficult when you’re under the weather. Happy Christmas (I know I’m late). God bless.

  • Karen says:

I’m so sorry you’re still not feeling well – it’s also probably why you’re feeling uninspired – although it certainly doesn’t show! I hope you’re feeling much better soon!

  • JoAnn says:

I put off the MRI for my back for four months – and ended up with a ride in an ambulance and emergency surgery – I hope your cough clears up soon and you can get the MRI -perhaps they can give you something for the cough just before the MRI to calm it down. Best of luck, hope all comes out great for you.

  • Marlo says:

bummer. I hope you find wellness and inspiration quickly! Being sick stinks! I am sure once you are feeling better that creative spirit will creep back in quickly. Hang in there!

  • Nicki says:

Hope you are feeling better soon – horrible to feel bad on a regular day, but on days off is like adding insult to injury. And may the mojo force be with you!

  • Paul @ Leeds in Yorkshire Daily Photo says:

Hi Madge I am sorry that you are not up to speed right now but do hope that you feel much better real soon. Also a rather belated Merry Christmas too!

  • Helene says:

Well, even in the middle of being sick you amaze me. I think this pic is totally imaginative and inspired. I love it! I wish I could bring you some of my homemade chicken soup. Even if that didn’t do the trick, it would certainly get you part of the way to 100%. And BTW, you have a extremely clean keyboard. Mine looks like grunge city. Sending good thoughts your way for a healthy new year and some inspiration! And when you get the inspiration, please send some back to me….I am totally lacking right now. Hugs!
