Caffeine, the ‘drug’ I crave in a cup of coffee.Today, I didn’t even have a cup until noon, I came down with a terrible cold (which kicks my asthma into overdrive) and slept in this morning for a while. Christmas vacation began today, thankfully, so I was able to stay home. Even coffee didn’t taste too good today, that tells me I’m sick. And I have family coming on Saturday for our Christmas gathering and have a lot of work to do before hand. Cleaning, finishing the decorations, baking and cooking. Frankly, I don’t feel like doing anything.
Here is a shot of the interior of Seattle’s Best Coffee shop in Post Alley at the Pike Place Market. I don’t think I could stand working there, in all that red…

I know I’m not well when I don’t feel like having my morning coffee! I hope you’re feeling better soon and have a very happy Christmas!
But all that red sure makes for a lovely photo! Hope you begin to feel better. Everyone in our home are finally recovering…I know what you mean about kicking the asthma into overdrive…it seems my daughter went through a gallon of albuterol for her nebulizer and had to take those nasty steroids…glad that is over. Get well and stay well.
I truly think your profession lends itself to getting every bug there is out there. No fun to be sick at Christmas.
You take care of yourself — your family will understand if all is not perfect.
oh no, now is not the time to be sick, so much to do!! hope you feel better!!
i was lucky enough to get some seattle’s best as a gift from a friend who was out there on holiday … and i hope you are feeling better soon ..
I sure hope you get to feeling better! Yep, you know you’re sick when even coffee doesn’t taste good. I’m with Nancy, I don’t know how you could NOT be sick being around all those kids all the time! ;)
That is a lot of red. Wow! Hope you get to feeling better soon. When coffee doesn’t taste good, you know something is off!
I hope you feel better by the weekend. I got the flu on Christmas day last year, no fun especially when you have a house full of company.
So sorry you’re not feeling well, Madge. Maybe you should shift over to tea until you get healthy again. And, this red coffee shop looks like a preview of down below, don’t you think?
Oh you poor girl! I hope you get feeling better soon. It’s always extra rough being sick during the holiday season!
Hugs for you ~ get better!

Smell’s wonderful!
Hope you feel better in time for the festivities.
I could do with a cup right now Madge, that or a pair of matchsticks to hold my eyes open haha!
