‘I’m dreaming of a White Christmas, just like the ones I used to know. Where the treetops glisten, and children listen to hear sleigh bells in the snow…’ Love this Christmas song, don’t you? But the reality is now sinking in. The long range weather forecasts are now reaching out towards Christmas day, there is no hope, zero, zip, zilch, nada chance that Seattle will have a white Christmas this year. I love snow, and I especially love it on Christmas, it makes everything magical outside, and everything snug inside with a fire and hot tea or cocoa and family. But we’ll be having a typical Christmas in the Northwest (also the title of a Christmas song) ‘It may not be white, might be a rainy night, but there’s nothing like sharing the sounds and the sights of a Christmas in the Northwest…’ ‘For Christmas in the Northwest is a gift God wrapped in green.’ There it is, no snow, nary a flake, but a gift nonetheless… What about your neighborhood, snow for Christmas??

no snow here, ever… and we like it that way, i am Southern to the bone and prefer no snow. but i do love your snow flake. beautiful. Christmas day we go to the beach and get white sand
We got about 5″ last weekend. It was 37 with no wind yesterday and melted a little. Sounds like another cold front is moving in soon. We are so glad to have some moisture to settle the dust.
A dusting would be nice, but it looks like rain, rain, rain. I’m in mid-Atlantic, so we might get a decent frost and that will have to do (got a kid flying in right before Christmas from New England, so I REALLY am okay with no snow)… but Christmas morning – nothing beats even a hint of snow.
i hope we dont have a white christmas or if we do that its not a blizzard .. i have friends coming in my train … need them to be able to get here!
Snow above 5,000 feet here, but also some on the northern side of the road, just traces. We’re supposed to get more later today, I just hope it will stick here at pass level.
Beautiful ornament.Hope your Christmas is beautiful, white or green.
We got about half a foot of snow here in Wisconsin on Sunday and it was awesome but now its half gone :(
No snow yet Madge. Hope we get some for Christmas! Very unusual for the Midwest, but it was like this last year too!
None here- but at least the temps have dropped down into seasonal range. Can’t quite get into the Christmas mood at 80 degrees- don’t know how folks in Florida do it!
I’m guessing that Connecticut will have snow on the ground. Probably just an inch or two, but probably something.
Beautiful Christmas tree ornament. I hope you get that white Christmas.
This is beautiful…the photo & the post! And now that it’s almost 11:30 PM, I believe I need to shut down and make some hot chocolate for bedtime! Thanks for the inspiration!
We are having a wintery storm today and there is snow on the mountains a couple of miles away. Probably no snow for Christmas though.
A perfect snowflake! We will very likely have snow visible on the distant mountainstops of Snowdonia and are very, very likely have zero snow here at sea level!
Lovely close up Madge, Sorry there’s no white Xmas in store for you. Probably not here either- Christmas Eve here in the Atlantic North West looks drizzly and cold , so maybe a little hope for snow…
