Barn or House?

Barn or House - Viola, Idaho

Here near the tiny (did I say tiny?) town of Viola, Idaho, a barn, er house sits with a tv antenna attached to the roof. This is one of those buildings that it is hard to tell just what it is or was used for, a house, a barn, or perhaps both. It certainly has a barn shape with the hipped roof and weathered siding giving it a barn appearance. What do you think?

  1. This is a really cool barn shot. It does look like it has been converted to a home of sorts. If it were mine, I know I would convert the top to living quarters and the bottom into a studio for pursuing my artistic endeavors. Have a great day.

Nice shot and an interesting question. It could be either or both, but I have in my mind a picture of a TV mounted to sooth the cows. Of course you would have to be very careful what channel you had it turned to…..

  3. I’m thinking probably a barn… either way, she’s a beauty & I hope they make some repairs soon, or all that beautiful weathered barn wood is going to collapse! =0
