Leaf on Boxwood

A small red leaf lies on a green boxwood hedge, still wet with refreshing rain it creates a still life alfresco. Isn’t it interesting that sometimes the smallest of things can be so appealing and catch one’s eye. That’s just what this little red leaf did for me, caught my eye lying alone on a green textured bed of boxwood leaves.

I find I do not shoot in just one genre, but find interest and excitement in all things, new, old, sleek, rustic, urban, rural, man-made, God-made, animals, plants, textures, colors. I’m not sure it is a good thing to shoot everything instead of concentrating upon one subject, but I do it anyway because it pleases me. What do you find in your photography, do you shoot a wide or narrow variety of subjects?
