Pine Street - Westlake Center - Seattle WA - Christmas Lights

Most cities and towns decorate for Christmas, Seattle is no different.

Here last night about ten o’clock after having supper with friends at Ivar’s Salmon House on Lake Union, I snapped this shot while passing through the intersection of Pine Street and Fifth Avenue, while my husband drove home. The large star is atop Macy’s (used to be The Bon Marche 1890-1992) and the festive lights in Westlake Center. I love all the bright lights at Christmastime, don’t you?

I (of course) still have and use constantly my Pentax K-7 DSLR, but Glazer’s Camera had a Black Friday sale, and I traded in a little used 77mm prime lens and got a Canon Powershot S110 point and shoot camera. Last night was my first trial with it and today’s shot is one of the snaps out the moving car window I liked.
