Toast: ‘To heat and brown by placing in a toaster or an oven or close to a fire.’ I don’t often do pet posts, but did think that some of you might be cat lovers and enjoy seeing our newest addition. Toasty came to us about October 1st as a tiny four week old kitten because her mother was hit and killed by a car. Today at around 11 weeks she’s growing and thriving. What a delightful little cat, half Siamese, she’s a ‘talker’ and a lover. I named her Toast (Toasty or Toasters) because her coloring looks a bit like a lightly toasted marshmallow. The ulterior motive for her name was because I have another cat named Gelly. So now we have Toast and Gelly… my husband wasn’t too amused.

So sweet. I’m a sucker for a sweet kitty. My two sibling kittens came to us at 4 weeks also after their mom was killed. We love ’em to pieces.

It wasn’t until after my son was born that I realized we had something amusing going…my initials are HAT and my son’s are CAT…we had The CAT In The HAT for 9 months prior.

I think Toasty is one of the Cutest names that I could ever imagine for a cat’s name. Toasty is precious and with her siamese genes she will bring lots of joy to you and your husband. Is he not a cat lover or he thinks that Toasty was not such a “hot” name for your new addition. I hope you continue to post pics of both cats. If you have looked at my blog you will already know that I adore cats and dogs.
So sweet! Rescue kitties are the best! Siamese mix kitties are very ‘talkative’. One of my very favorite kitties was part Siamese. They are so smart. Love your name choice! xx

Wow, now even if I wasn’t a cat lover (which I DEFINITELY am) I would still have to write and say “God bless you” for taking that darling baby kitten into your heart and home. What a kutie kitty, and I know she will bless your family over and over again throughout your time together. Tell your dear husband he is nutso….Toast and Gelly is just absolutely purrrrfect!!! But so is he, for agreeing to take in another kitkat! ((~.~))
